The 2050 Calculator is a free and open energy and emissions model that can be used to increase energy and climate literacy and inform policy at the city, regional, country and even global level. It offers an easy way to explore future scenarios and their impacts. It can be tailored to suit everyone from experts to the general public.
A number of countries and territories around the world are already using calculators in their climate and energy planning, including China, India, Nigeria, the UK and South Africa.
This site brings together the community of modellers who have built calculators so that they can share best practice, improve their tools and help others who are interested in building their own.
This site is hosted by Imperial College London.
